I know a family where one member creates Situations With Inescapable Serious Consequences. The rest of the family will try to deal with these Situations With Inescapable Serious Consequences by proposing a solution or at the very least a manner of coping.
The family member who creates the Situations Etc. refuses to accept these ideas or cooperate.
All right, the rest of the family says, what do you suggest we do to handle the Situations Etc.?
We have to do something because we face Inescapable Serious Consequences. What do you suggest if you don't like what we proposed?
"I jes' wanna keep on doin' what I bin doin'..."
The nation is in its current situation because of foreign, domestic, and economic policies followed from 2000 to 2008.
From 2008 to 2010 an attempt was made to change those policies.
From 2010 to the present, those who supported the policies of 2000 to 2008 have done everything in their power to block further change.
Those who blocked further change now want to return to the policies of 2000 to 2008.
Here's the question: Have I made an unfair or inaccurate summary of the current situation?
Bonus question: What are you going to do about it?
