Socialism Is Like Baseball

Socialism Is Like Baseball

Socialism is like baseball in this manner:
For any one player to win, ALL the players must win.

You can’t have just a few players win the game and not the rest.

Socialism is like baseball in this manner:
For the team to win, every player must do their job, and by doing their job, help the other players do theirs.

Fielders catch balls and throw them to the basemen, catchers are the last line of defense against a scoring run.  A fielder is useless without basemen to throw to, a catcher is impotent if no fielder or baseman can throw a ball to him.

Socialism is like baseball in this manner:
While half the game hinges on teamwork, there’s also a equal chance for each individual to shine.

Did you hit the winning run? You’re a hero!

And the rest of the team wins with you.

Better players get better rewards.

Socialism is like baseball in this manner:
The players don’t get to pick their teammates.

Sometimes, such as in schools or similar settings, you’re forced to play with some people who aren’t as good at the game as others.

While that can be frustrating, you still have to adjust to that reality if you want to win.  You put the weak batters between the strong batters to increase your chances of getting a run.  You put your best baseman on first, your weakest fielder in left field where fewer balls will be hit.

You play to the team’s strengths and weaknesses in a way that ensures the best outcome for everybody.

Socialism is like baseball in this manner:
Every day is a brand new game.
